We’re poised to be first in everything; MTN Ghana CEO assures

The CEO of the telecommunications giant made this known during a Business Breakfast programme on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the MTN House located at Ridge, Accra.

Mr. Selorm Adadevoh while speaking at the virtual programme said MTN Ghana has always been a company that take bold steps when new technologies emerge or the taste of consumers change.

He said the philosophy at MTN Ghana has always been to embrace change and serve customers with products as and when the need arises.

“The philosophy here is really about constantly evolving and learning from what’s happening around you to inform the next steps you take.

“If I have to comment on our readiness for what’s ahead of us I think that would be premature but what I can say is from the perspective of our mindset being in the embracing of evolution, embracing changes, and you would have seen us do this in the past where we have moved from one stage to the other, we are absolutely ready for the evolution ahead of us,” the MTN Ghana CEO said.

Mr. Adadevoh continued, “Because we embrace technological change that whatever the changes require we will be in a position to evolve with it especially if the consumer need is high.”

According to the MTN Ghana CEO, it is in line with the desire to constantly adapt and embrace new trends that his outfit is ready to launch 5G network in Ghana in 2022.

He stressed, “Innovation has been a key pillar of our growth. We are always trying to make sure we can be the first to launch the next technology but not only to be the first but to actually bring that technology to the market and create value out of that technology. So 2G, 3G, 4G, and now 5G hopefully next year.”

As MTN Ghana celebrates its twenty-five (25) years anniversary this year, Mr. Adadevoh said the MTN Ghana Foundation is keen on investing more in education, health, and economic growth.

As part of the celebration, there is an ongoing ‘Mega Promo’ where 25 brand new Hyundai Sonata Cars are being given out to customers as well as other amazing prizes.

Mr. Selorm Adadevoh also emphasized that his outfit is staying relentless on its ‘Everywhere You Go’ tagline. As a result, there is going to be continuous investment to make cellular and data connectivity available in even the most rural areas of the country.

Today’s Business Breakfast programme had participation from Naa Latiorkor Senah; Snr. Manager, Organizational Development, Cynthia Addoquaye; Manager, Travel and Logistics, and Isaac Obeng; Senior manager Sales to share experiences from the over two decades they worked with MTN Ghana.
