Clarissa Kudowor was honored for her “invaluable support, personal commitment and dedication to the cause of financial and digital inclusion.”
The citation was presented to her after she moderated the 3rd panel of the 2nd day of the Mobile Technology for Development conference, which focused on bridging the gender gap in STEM jobs.
Reading the citation the Chair and co-founder of the Financial Inclusion Forum, William Derban said, the organizers of Mobile Technology for Development 2023 was grateful for her support to the conference over the years, adding that the conference will continue to rely her support for years to come.

Clarissa Kudowor is an assistant director at Bank of Ghana with over 25 years of experience in central banking.
She is also a fellow at the Fletcher Leadership School for Financial Inclusion.
She has served as the co-chair and chairman of the Digital Financial Services Working Group (DFSWG) of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion and is currently the gender focal point for the DFSWG.

Clarissa Kudowor, Deputy Director of the Payment Systems Department of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), has called for innovative Financial technology solutions to help in scaling merchant acceptance through digital solutions.
Despite the successes within the Ghanaian Fintech industry which boasts about 43 registered companies who workforce is largely reliant on local talents, there is still more work to be done in order to maximise the gains of digital financial inclusion.

The Mobile Technology for Development conference aims to bring together experts on issues within the educational, digital finance and agritech and digitized payments to explore the challenges and showcase successful solutions and case studies of how digital finance is impacting these sectors.
